Finally, I am now in the “Land of the Rising Sun”: Japan. Hi! This is Teacher Aya, a dreamer from a small tropical island in the heart of the Philippines. I have been in Japan for almost a month now, and this country continues to offer me amazing experiences.
Japan will always be one of the countries that my family and I are thankful for. I was too emotional to leave Vietnam, however, I was reminded that this is for me. It took me 5 hours and 45 minutes by plane to reach Narita Airport. Mixed emotions and a bit nervous because it is my first time in Japan, and I am alone. Upon arriving at the airport, I asked the information desk officers for directions to “Morioka Station.”
I arrived at Ueno Station after a one-hour train ride from Narita. I took a photo of the “Shinkansen” and even touched it to prove to myself that it is real. My journey was just a common trip to many, nothing too fancy, but it was one of the most memorable journeys I have ever had in my life. I did not take videos because I wanted to enjoy the journey and store it in my core memory. Now I am in Japan, living each day and hoping to have more memorable adventures in the future. What about you? What’s the most memorable trip you’ve ever had in the past? Let’s look back together.
