Yukiko-san worked hard to learn English while balancing family responsibilities. She spent hours studying, writing in her diary, and listening to radio lessons daily. Her goal was to express herself and connect with others. Her hard work paid off when she published her diary last year. It wasn’t just a collection of thoughts but proof of her perseverance. She proudly shared her story, inspiring others, especially her grandchildren, to follow their dreams.

 

Yukiko once said, “I don’t have anything to leave my grandchildren but this book so they will read it and remember me.” Although it wasn’t easy to share her life, she found comfort in knowing others could relate. She continues to study at Kokage English School and writes in her diary, preserving her legacy.
